The Division of Student Life Diversity Action Team (DAT) was formed in the spring of 2007.  Charged by Dr. John C. Cernech, Vice President for Student Life, DAT has crafted a diversity policy statement, launched a continuing education plan for every staff member in the Division, and hosted listening sessions to hear the concerns of students on our campus.  Framed within the context of understanding cultural competencies, DAT is guided by “A Typology of Intergroup Competencies” by V. Jean Ramsey and Jean Kantambu Latting.
