Mental Health Re-Entry Process

Creighton University cares about its students and supports them in times where students are working through complex problems in their lives. As has been well documented, mental health issues often surface during the college years (ages 18-24) and Creighton University stands ready to "accompany" students and their parents.

The Office of the Vice Provost of Student Life, working in concert with Student Counseling Services, provides support for students and families when a student has need for a temporary leave (generally less than a week) or a leave of absence (one or more semesters). The Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life coordinates the University's re-entry process for students to resume their academic journey at Creighton. The links below further detail the re-entry process for students as delineated by the length of a student's leave.
