Where does my family stay? Why can’t they stay with me?

Summer is a busy time on campus!  Between students taking summer classes and living in the halls, to hosting camps and conferences, we unfortunately do not have the room in our residence halls to accommodate all our family members.  However, we have negotiated Creighton at a variety of local hotels for your convenience. Please see the Hotel Information tab on the website and the Guidebook app for more details!

Why am I being asked to bring a non-perishable food item to Summer Preview?

Creighton University calls us to be men and women for and with others.  This year the Summer Preview student executive team has decided to partner with Siena/Francis House in Omaha.  To meet the daily needs of Siena/Francis House, we ask that you bring the following items to Preview Check In.  We'll make sure the items get to the people who need them.  Thank you in advance for embracing our community!

Are siblings allowed? To attend? What about my pet?

Siblings and other family members are welcome at Summer Preview!  Registration for these guests can be completed online so that we can prepare for their meals.  Unfortunately, no day care services are available and therefore younger siblings will be expected to attend sessions with parents/guardians.

What is the Guidebook App?

The Guidebook App is an electronic app on all smart phones, computers, and devices that can share information about New Student Orientation to all who have it downloaded. It not only has the schedules for Summer Preview and Welcome Week, but also for Family Weekend and a variety of resources that will be beneficial for all students and families entering the Creighton community. Though we will have limited print resources, we are working to follow the Creighton initiative of being sustainable and ask that all people attending New Student Orientation download the Guidebook App. Directions are below:

1.  Download “Guidebook” in the app store

2.  Search “New Jays 2018” in the search bar (there is no passphrase required)
