Mission

The mission of the Center for Student Integrity is to promote an environment where students are encouraged to act with professional, academic, and personal integrity and to hold students accountable around issues of integrity. The Center provides students with the resources and education needed to respect the dignity of all persons, the policies of the Creighton University community and the rights of its members both on and off campus, in addition to the just laws of the civic community and the rights of its members. This education is presented within the framework of our Jesuit identity.

Creighton University Integrity Council

Fifteen members of the undergraduate Creighton community that are trained in the discipline process and hear cases related to minor violations of student conduct.

The Judicial System is designed to uphold University standards through a fair and equitable process for all University Community members.  Therefore:

  • Council members must strive to provide the fairest service possible to the University community.
  • Council members are expected to inform the Council if they have any personal interest or knowledge about any case or are personally acquainted with any party.  Council members may be asked to leave the proceedings if their objectivity is questionable.
  • Each Council member must carefully and impartially review the information presented at the hearing and render a decision based on the preponderance of the evidence.
  • Efforts by any person to influence the recommendation of the Council, or the vote of any Council member, shall be reported.

Greek Standards Board

Exists so that students are given an opportunity to examine their own conduct under the light of behavioral norms shared by their peers.

It is hoped that Greek organizations, having had their conduct reviewed by the Greek Standards Board will be begin to develop an understanding of the rights as individuals, and their responsibilities as educated members of the Greek community.

  • To offer the Greek community increased opportunities for self governance with the ultimate goal of improving relations between fraternities.
  • To establish precedence and maintain continuity in regard to judicial action involving fraternaties.
  • To implement the enforcement of the constitutions of all social Greek organizations, alcohol and risk management policies, and the University regulations and policies.
  • To remove personal and judicial elements from regular meetings of governing councils of all social Greek organizations.
  • To improve relations between Greek organizations and Student Services.

Civic Responsibility Program - Award for Integrity
The purpose of the civic programs are to develop a deeper understanding of the role of the individual within a community. These programs will also seek to help students investigate and clarify issues of Integrity as they relate to their personal lives and their role in a communal conceptualization. The Center for Student Integrity's "Award for Integrity" strives to acknowledge the ethical values and integrity that are prevalent in our campus community. Hopefully these awards will continue to embrace, enhance and support the personal, professional, academic, and vocational development of the members of the Creighton University Community.
