Ms. Nownes believes that fostering students’ development begins in understanding where they are coming from and beginning that important dialogue.  The conversations with students are so crucial to not only listen, but hear what they are trying to convey. Understanding their point of view helps us further their learning and broadens ours.  The disciplinary process is built on the foundation that the process should be educational and helpful to the student's development.
