After your scholarships and Creighton institutional-aid are removed, what are you still taking out of your own pocket, your parents' pocket, and/or loans to pay Creighton each semester?  This number is known as your PRICE POINT.  Usually students want to find a program that is around that same cost.

Creighton's Service-Learning Program, "Encuentro Dominicano"

Creighton's Service-Learning Program, "Encuentro Dominicano"

Participants will pay Creighton's tuition, room, board, and fees directly to Creighton and receive the equivalent in the Dominican Republic. If eligible, institutional aid, federal financial aid, Tuition Remission and Tuition Exchange (FACHEX) are portable. Please check with the CU Financial Aid Office for specific inquiries.

All study abroad students will be assessed a $100.00 Global Travel Security Fee to his/her Creighton University bill. The Creighton Global Travel Security Program supports students 24/7 through an exclusive partnership with iJet International, a global risk-management organization. 

Faculty-Led Summer Programs Abroad (Multiple Countries)

Faculty-Led Summer Programs Abroad (Multiple Countries)

Participants of FLPA programs will pay all program fees directly to Creighton. If eligible, federal financial aid is portable. Because these are summer travel courses, students must check with the CU Financial Aid Office for specific information and eligibility. Participants are also required to purchase Creighton's insurance for international activity (included in program fees). Institutional aid, Tuition Remission, and Tuition Exchange (FACHEX) are not portable for FLPA programs.

All study abroad students will be assessed a $100.00 Global Travel Security Fee to his/her Creighton University bill. The Creighton Global Travel Security Program supports students 24/7 through an exclusive partnership with iJet International, a global risk-management organization. 

Creighton In Ireland: University of Limerick

Creighton In Ireland: University of Limerick

Participants will pay tuition, room, and fees directly to Creighton and receive the equivalent at the University of Limerick. Students will be responsible for meals, an accommodation deposit (approx. $300), and all traveling expenses. If eligible, institutional aid and federal financial aid are portable.

Tuition Remission and Study Abroad Students may only participate in study abroad programs that are pre-approved by the Global Engagement Office (GEO) as part of an employee benefit remission program. Such participants must pay the difference between their employee benefit remission program and the special cost to Creighton University for the study abroad program. Regular registration and fees in addition to the tuition remission fee and any additional fees for special Creighton University programs (i.e. Global Scholars) are applicable during each study abroad semester. Short travel courses are not covered under the employee benefit remission program. Please meet with a Global Programs Coordinator regarding specific details about tuition remission opportunities abroad.

Participants will pay tuition and fees directly to Creighton and receive the equivalent at the University of Glasgow. Students will be responsible for room and board fees (paid to Glasgow), and all traveling expenses. If eligible, institutional aid and federal aid are portable.

Participants will pay tuition, room, board, and fees directly to Creighton University and receive the equivalent at their ISEP host institution. Participants will also be responsible for an ISEP application fee (approx. $375) at the time of application. If eligible, institutional aid, federal financial aid, Tuition Remission, and FACHEX Tuition Exchange are portable.

Associate Programs, (Multiple Countries)

Associate Programs, (Multiple Countries)

Participants will pay all fees directly to the program. If eligible, federal financial aid is portable. Institutional aid, tuition remission, and tuition exchange are not portable for Associate Programs. Please check with the CU Financial Aid Office for specific inquiries. Creighton academic scholarships will be forfeited for the semester(s) that you are abroad; it will NOT be added to a 9th semester if it takes you longer to graduate. Students taking online Creighton courses while abroad will be required to pay a 'per-credit' fee to Creighton for the online Creighton courses.

Federal Financial Aid
Students eligible to receive federal financial aid (grants and loans) may only continue to receive those funds while participating in approved study abroad programs abroad during the fall semester, spring, semester and academic year.  Work study is not applicable to study abroad experiences.  Students must consult with the Financial Aid Office to determine their eligibility.

Outside Scholarships
Students who are eligible to receive state or other financial aid may also be eligible to receive those funds while participating in approved study abroad programs.  Students must consult with the Financial Aid Office to determine their eligibility. 

Portability of Creighton Merit Scholarships and Grants
Eligible students selected to participate in Creighton's Service-Learning Program Abroad, Faculty-Led Programs Abroad, Affiliate Programs, Bilateral Exchange Programs, or Multilateral Exchange Programs may continue to receive merit scholarships and grants awarded by Creighton University while studying abroad.  Students must consult with the Financial Aid Office to determine their eligibility.
