Withdrawals & Refunds

Withdrawals & Refunds

A student is considered in attendance and is responsible for any tuition balances due until he or she has formally notified the University in person or in writing of their withdrawal. Refunds are made to the student on the basis of the date he/she has formally notified the Dean in person or in writing of their withdrawal. Students who formally withdraw from the University before the official start of the semester or term will not be liable for tuition or fees. Students withdrawing before the end of a term will be charged tuition and recurring fees on the basis of the period of attendance from date of enrollment as follows:

*Class day is any day of the term when any class is in session, regardless of whether or not a specific course is scheduled to be held on that day.

Non-recurring fees, the University fee, and penalty and special service fees will be charged in full regardless of the period of attendance.

Drop/Add/Withdrawal Procedure

You can make changes to your course schedule online on NEST  prior to the start of the Summer Sessions (May 7). A registration PIN is required to make changes online.

Schedule changes on or after May 7 must be made through the Registrar's Office.

Financial Aid

Financial Aid

University-funded grants and scholarships are generally not available for Summer Sessions. However, Pell Grants and student loans may be available. If you need financial aid for the summer, you will need to complete a Summer Aid Application. Registration for six or more credit hours over all summer terms is required for minimum eligibility.
