Tuition Discounts
Education Certification
Secondary Education Certification Program: College graduates can complete professional education courses at Creighton in a post-baccalaureate certificate program at a 50% discount.
Special Education Certification Program: Persons who have teaching certificates in either elementary or secondary education can take the necessary EDU courses to obtain K-6 or 7-12 special education certification at a 50% discount.
Religious Education K-12 Teaching Endorsement: Sponsored by the Catholic Schools Office of the Archdiocese of Omaha and Creighton University Education Department. A 50% discount is offered to current teachers and adminstrators who would like to earn a secondary endorsement in Religious Education. The eight required courses in Theology are spread over two years, including summer.
Elementary Education Discount: Persons who have a bachelor's degree and who wish to complete elementary education certification requirements are eligible for a 50% discount off the regular tuition rate.
To receive the Education Endorsement discount, you will need to be admitted to University College.
High School Students
Junior and Senior High School students who have proven documented ability to do college-level work, may, upon written recommendation of their school counselor, take Creighton courses for $75 per credit hour plus fees. Learn more about the Next Step Program.
Ministry Remission
Persons who work full-time or part-time as clergy, religious, parish administrators, pastoral ministers, catechists, ministers with youth, elderly, family, prisoners, deacons, etc., and who are enrolled in the credit Certificate Programs in Ministry, Theology, Spirituality or Liturgy, may take up to nine credit hours per semester during the regular academic year and unlimited hours in the summer at 50% off regular tuition. You will need to submit the completed Remission Form to receive the discount.
Teachers and School Administrators
A 50% discount off regular per-credit-hour rate is applied to one course during the fall and spring semesters, and unlimited hours during the Summer Sessions. You will need to submit the completed Remission Form to receive the discount.
Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens, aged 65 or older, may enroll in any summer course at a no-cost, no-credit, space-available basis. Certain restrictions may apply. Please call the Summer Sessions Office, (402) 280-2843, for more information or to register for a course.
