What is a brand?

Our brand is more than our name or logo. It’s the way we look, act and speak. It’s what we’re all about—our essence. It includes our programs, our vision and our students, alumni, faculty and staff. And when we live up to our brand, everyone we interact with can better connect with Creighton.

What is a marketing campaign?

A marketing campaign is a specific, defined series of activities—that take place during a defined time period—used to market a product or service.

Successful campaigns are carefully researched, thoroughly planned and focused on a specific objective, rather than resting on a single, grand idea. Execution of a marketing campaign proceeds as follows:

  1. Write a marketing brief
  2. Create a marketing plan
  3. Develop concepts and design the creative
  4. Place media buys
  5. Report the results
  6. Calculate the marketing return on investment (ROI)

Licensing Rights

The Creighton University logo (sometimes known as the logotype or signature) is registered with the U.S. Patent Office. Those wishing to use Creighton’s logo must contact us to obtain permission. Use of these symbols for commercial purposes is prohibited without express consent from Creighton University.

Approved use of University graphics may include related licensing fees. Vendors seeking a license should contact Licensed Resource Group (LRG). Reproduction of any athletics logos or wordmarks without the approval of Creighton University Athletics and LRG is prohibited. Creation of any apparel or goods using the Creighton University Athletics logos or wordmarks must be conducted through an LRG licensed vendor. View a full list of licensed vendors.

All trademarked or registered symbols must carry the proper trademark (™) or registration (®) symbols. Alterations to or variations from the official University seal, logos, crest and graphic symbols are prohibited.
