Undergraduate Admissions

Events and Visits

We are delighted to announce that we have begun phasing in personalized on-campus visits! You can register for a on-campus visit here.

Because we take the health and safety of our students, staff and visitors very seriously, we are requiring all of our visitors to follow our specific safety protocol, which includes completing a screening survey will need to be submitted at least 24 hours before your visit. Because of this requirement, we are not able to accept walk-in visitors.

Upon arriving on campus, you (and everyone visiting with you) will be required to complete a temperature screening, answer a short questionnaire, wear a cloth face covering (we will provide disposable face coverings, if needed) and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Please note that campus is much quieter than usual, since Admissions is one of the first offices back on campus, and the vast majority of students and faculty are not on campus. After classes begin on August 17, there will be more activity on campus.

We are happy to offer live virtual visits during this time, which include a video meeting with an admissions counselor, a virtual tour of campus, and a video meeting with current Creighton students. You can register for a virtual campus visit here.

Deposit Information

We understand that this time of year is incredibly important as you are making your college decision, and the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has impacted many students’ abilities to travel and visit campuses. While our extended June 1 deadline has passed, we will work with any students who are interested in attending Creighton University in the fall on an individual basis. We know that this year has been challenging for students in many ways; we are understanding of the various factors that can change plans or delay a decision.

Simply contact your admissions counselor to discuss your next steps.

We have also lowered the tuition deposit lowered the amount of the deposit to $400 (with $300 going toward tuition and $100 as a housing deposit for those living on campus), in an attempt to make the decision to come to Creighton even a little bit easier.

Fall Semester

Creighton University is planning to reopen campus and return to in-person courses for the fall semester. Because of concerns about a second wave of the virus during the traditional beginning of the flu season in late November or December, we are planning to both start and complete most in-person, on-campus learning earlier than in previous years.

In order to provide students with the same amount of instruction time, we plan to begin the semester early and forgo fall break. Fall semester classes will begin on August 17. The last day of classes will be November 17; final semester exams will begin November 19 and conclude at noon on November 25. There will be one break in the semester, for Labor Day, on September 7.

Due to the change in class start date, and to maintain appropriate social distancing guidelines, the move-in process for Fall 2020 has been amended. We will spread out move-in dates over multiple days and make other adjustments to lessen issues related to large gatherings as students move into the residence halls. Freshman students will be assigned a move-in time August 12-15. Please click here to learn more.
