Jesuits icon Student Masses

Creighton’s president, the Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD, and other priests of the campus Jesuit community are celebrating Mass for students at 8 p.m. at Morrison Stadium, weather permitting, on Sunday nights.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and close at 7:45 p.m. Students are reminded to bring a personal blanket to sit on, personal hand sanitizer and their Creighton ID. Face coverings are required and social distancing will be practiced.

Mass also will be celebrated each weeknight at 9 p.m. in St. John’s Church, with the popular Tuesday night Mass resuming with celebrants Fr. Hendrickson and the Rev. Nicholas Santos, SJ, rector of the Jesuit community at Creighton.

Students will need to swipe their ID for admittance, and face coverings and personal hand sanitizer are required. Social distancing will be practiced.

St. John’s Church

St. John’s Church on campus resumes regular Masses for faculty, staff and parishioners, beginning Aug. 22, with a 5 p.m. Mass on Saturdays and 10:30 a.m. on Sundays; registration is required for these liturgies. Monday through Saturday noon Masses resume in the church Aug. 24.

Face coverings and hand sanitizer are required and social distancing will be practiced. The weekend and daily noon liturgies also will be livestreamed for the forseeable future.
