Dr Russell is from Omaha, Nebraska. She attended Creighton University, receiving her BS in 1980 & DDS in 1984.  She started her own private practice in 1984 and taught part time at the Dental School after graduation.  In 2015, she relinquished her practice to become a full time Associate Professor at the Dental School.  Within months of starting full time, she has revamped the AxiUm training at the school and teaches all the AxiUm classes to freshman, sophomores, new faculty & the hygiene students.  She has taught in Freshman Dental Anatomy lab for 32 years.  Cyndi is a Instructor on the clinic floor in Diagnostic Sciences and Assessment with the Junior & Senior students.  She is also a mentor for the Freshman table clinics.  She is also serving as a PMA for Team 3. 
    Cyndi has also participated in many of the community service projects, ie Project Homeless & Give Kids a Smile, which are reflective of the Creighton Mission.  She has also restarted the Christmas party for the Creighton Dental School families.  Dr Russell is currently serving as the Secretary/Treasurer for OKU, the National Dental Honorary Society Epsilon Chapter.
