HAPSA 2016 Officers
Coming Soon

Our organization participated in the fall Skutt Shutdown Involvement Fair, as well as the spring Involvement Fair, the Major/Minor Fair, and CU Sunday.

We held executive HAPSA meetings and general HAPSA meetings. At general HAPSA meetings, we provided HAP students with information about the HAP major/minor and Public Health minor, including class registration information and advice related to the HAP program. We also visited introductory level HAP classes to promote the club and major. Additionally, we invited guest speakers working in various areas of the Health Administration field to share with students their diverse experiences in healthcare. This year's speakers included CEO of Nebraska Orthopedic Hospital Tom Macy, who offered advice on entering the field and attaining success in the workplace and Keshia Bradford, Director of Outreach and Enrollment at Health Center Association of Nebraska, who provided firsthand experience on working with Affordable Care Act.

We completed the academic year with our annual Senior Sendoff event at Blatt Beer & Table to honor and celebrate the successes of both faculty and graduating seniors.

HAPSA produced and electronically distributed a fall semester newsletter to develop a greater sense of community amongst current students, as well as keep alumni updated on the happenings within the program.
