Education Alumni Spotlight

Clara (Pohlman) Korensky, BS’22, will travel to Rome in September for a 10-month course in Spirituality at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas.

  • Providing specialized preparation so that our graduates are ready to serve students with diverse needs and backgrounds in P-12 schools.
  • Providing specialized preparation for those who wish to serve in Catholic schools.

Student Costs for Educator Certification

According to the Nebraska Department of Education (NDE), there are steps that must be taken in order to be accepted into an education program and to get initial certification. Some of these steps require additional costs to the student outside of tuition and other university related costs. An outline of the NDE requirements and costs can be found below.

If finances are an issue on your path to becoming an educator and you are currently a Creighton student, the Education Department is able to help! Through the support of alumni and donations, the Student Support Fund assists students with various financial burdens of becoming a Nebraska educator.
