Presented by Peter Buerhaus
Peter Buerhaus, PhD, RN, FAAN, FAANP, is being honored as the 2022 Distinguished Scholar.
Buerhaus is a nurse and health care economist who is well known for his studies and publications focused on the nursing and physician workforces in the United States. As a professor of nursing and the director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Workforce Studies at Montana State University College of Nursing, Buerhaus maintains an active research program involving studies on many subject areas including employment, education, demographic trends in the nursing workforce, and forecasting nurse and physician supply.
