Associate Professor, Neurology, Mayo Clinic in Arizona Founding member of Women in Neuro-Oncology Member of American Academy of Neurology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and National Medical Association Dr. Porter Umphrey is nationally recognized for her work supporting EDI work and is the CEO/President of ElevateMeD, a nonprofit organization committed to transforming the physician workforce to one that racially and ethnically represents the community it serves. ElevateMeD provides financial assistance to medical students while providing access to mentor-ship, leadership training & financial management education. Part of their mission is to increase physician workforce diversity and improve cultural competence among physicians to reduce health disparities.
