Biography

Rodney Verhoeff, PMP®/CSM is a program and project leadership professional and a niche management consulting firm owner with over 15 years teaching and 20 years of experience in project management, environmental science, IT, and instruction/professional training. Having worked with Creighton University as a consultant and instructor for the past 5 years with the Creighton Business Institute (CBI), he recently joined the faculty of Heider College of Business (HCB) fulltime, where he oversees the Masters Certificate in Project Management (MCPM) program, leads the project component of the Leadership Experience Accelerator Program (LEAP), and teaches/instructs and consults for external partnership project management and leadership programs.

Rodney has served in a variety of capacities from environmental scientist to executive director to invasive species coordinator including leading two regional watershed management entities in Nebraska - the Niobrara Scenic River Council and the Lower Platte River Corridor Alliance. He is currently involved with the accreditation process for HCB and has past experience successfully gaining accreditation for a project management undergraduate program through the Project Management Institute’s Global Accreditation Center (PMI-GAC) – something only a handful of schools in the world have received.

He earned his B.Sc. in Natural Resources, with a major in Water Science and his M.Sc. in Agronomy, with specialization in soil and water science/soil physics, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UN-L). He received the highest commendation from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for his dedication to Nebraska’s natural resources and has been known to navigate the waters of Nebraska in canoe, kayak, and even an airboat on the lower Platte River.
