A. Personal Statement
I have been a physician assistant for the past 22 years practicing in general internal medicine in Nebraska. In 2008, I accepted an academic appointment at the University of Nebraska Medical Center Physician Assistant Program in Omaha, NE. My role in the Physician Assistant Program is Assistant Professor and Director of Didactic Education. I have completed my masters in public health at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Public Health with a concentration in Community Oriented Primary Care. My master’s project focused on nutrition education for health care providers serving in rural and underserved areas of Nebraska. In 2017, I accepted an academic appointment at Creighton University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor, Director of Curriculum in the Physician Assistant Program. My academic interests are in curriculum development/implementation and assessment.
