Biography

Dr. Mohs graduated from Creighton University with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree on May 20,1972.  For three years following dental school he provided dental care for handicapped children throughout the State of Missouri via a mobile dental clinic.  On May 13, 1977, he completed a two-year residency in pediatric dentistry at Children's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, and the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry.  Then, as an officer in the USPHS-IHS, he provided pediatric dental care for Native Americans at the Claremore IHS Hospital in Claremore, OK, from July 1977 until July 1982.  On June 29, 1984, Dr. Mohs completed a two-year residency in orthodontics at Washington University in St. Louis, MO, graduating with a Master of Science in Orthodontics.  Subsequently, as a dental officer in the USAF, Dr. Mohs provided orthodontic care for military personnel and their families throughout the world for more than 20 years.  He returned to Creighton University's School of Dentistry on August 1, 2006, as the Director of Orthodontics.  Dr. Mohs was certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics on March 4, 1994, and was granted Life-Active membership by the American Association of Orthodontists in 2014.
