Biography

I joined Creighton in 2010 serving as an Academic Clinical Education Coordinator. I currently also serve as Vice Chair of Education and Clinical Practice for the Occupational Therapy Department and Capstone Coordinator. In my time as a faculty member, I have engaged in developing our first occupational therapy fellowship program for pediatric therapists as well as two additional fellowship programs within the occupational therapy department. With a pediatric practice background I provide limited clinical services through Creighton Pediatric Therapy for the BoysTown School system and preschool and mentor the pediatric fellow in this practice area. I serve as an appointed board member on the AOTA Fellowship Program Review Committee to help advance the understanding of fellowships in the national landscape of OT. As an integral part of the clincial education team I provide oversight of the capstone planning and implementation process, individualized student advising for clinical plans of study, and teach in the clinical education seminars and rotation courses. I also provide mentorship to students completing their doctoral capstone experiences specifically in academia or school-based practice.
