Biography

Jane’s experience in higher education in particular, the education of nursing students at the baccalaureate level reaches as far back as 1985 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.  A solid background in medical-surgical nursing in hospitals in Omaha, NE, Salina, KS and Hastings, NE provided the framework from which she was able to share this knowledge and expertise with students.  Courses in care management, evidence based practice nursing, community and public health nursing,  and nursing student’s senior level capstone clinical experience have played a role in the education of nursing students in most of those years.  A special interest and a CU fellowship in informatics developed into teaching in informatics in nursing courses along with research, presentations and a publication in this specialty area.
Jane is the current ANC Program Coordinator for the College of Nursing-Mary Lanning Campus.
