Biography

While attending the University of Florida, Professor Teply was a member of the Order of the Coif and served as Associate Editor of the Law Review. He was a staff attorney for the U.S. Federal Trade Commission from 1976-1977. Since joining the Creighton University School of Law faculty, Professor Teply has successfully coached numerous law school competition teams, including Arbitration, Client Counseling and Negotiation.
He authored Legal Research and Citation (5th ed. West 1999); Civil Procedure (Foundation Press 1999) (with Professor Whitten); Legal Writing, Analysis, and Oral Argument (West 1990); and Legal Negotiation in a Nutshell (West 1992). He has written articles for the Yale Law Journal, Creighton Law Review, Tulane Law Review, University of Florida Law Review, University of Miami Law Review, Journal of Health Politics, Policy and Law, the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review, and the Trademark Reporter.
