Biography

Dr. Martha Todd is an Associate Professor in the  College of Nusing.  She received her PhD in Nursing from South Dakota State University. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner and teaches in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice program.  She is the track lead for the Family Nurse Practitioner program track. Dr. Todd is passionate about working with underserved populations.  She opened a free clinic in North Omaha (Laura and Dan Monen Healthcare Clinic at Heart Ministry Center) in 2009.  The clinic has expanded into a nurse-led interprofessional clinic staffed by nursing, pharmacy, social work, OT, and PT faculty and students. Dr. Todd and her colleagues are known for their work in student assessment in clinical and simulated environments.  She is one of the developers of the Creighton Competency Evaluation Instrument (C-CEI) used extensively in nursing throughout the United States and several countries.
