US News & World Report's 2020 Best National Universities

US News & World Report ranks Creighton as the 14th Best National University in Service Learning. The publication notes that in service-learning programs, volunteering in the community is an instructional strategy – and a requirement of a student's coursework. The service relates to what happens in class, and in turn, the coursework plays off of the volunteering. In spring 2019, US News & World Report invited college presidents, chief academic officers, deans of students and deans of admissions from more than 1,500 schools to nominate up to 15 institutions with stellar examples of service learning. Colleges and universities that received 10 or more nominations are included in the rankings.
