Huber Issues Challenge to Class of '83
Mark Denniston Huber, BSBA’83, JD’86, co-chair of the Ignite the Greatness campaign has issued a challenge to his former classmates to join him in elevating the College of Business to new heights.
Huber will match all Class of ’83 gifts over a five-year pledge timeline, up to $1 million until the class celebrates its 30-year reunion in September.
“This campaign represents a watershed moment for our school,” Huber said. “I am issuing this challenge to inspire my classmates. Wouldn’t it be great if 100 percent of the College of Business class of 1983 participated?”
Huber said that the time is right for the college to grow. It has been rising steadily in national rankings and employers are hiring Creighton business graduates at unprecedented rates – 98 percent are employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation.
To meet the demand, Creighton’s College of Business will expand. It will relocate to the Harper Center on campus and increase scholarship support for students and endowment support for faculty. It will expand recruitment efforts to new markets, to enroll greater numbers of students.
“If you have already made a gift, please accept my heartfelt thanks. If not, please consider this challenge as an opportunity for your gift to have even greater impact.
“With our help, more students than ever will attain the same life-changing business education that we did, and they will carry the values of a Creighton business education into careers throughout the world.”
Make a gift to the Ignite the Greatness campaign.
