Dear Faculty, Staff, and Students,
Thank you for being attentive to our COVID-19 guidelines for the spring semester, which include wearing a face covering indoors on our campuses with a few limited exceptions, most notably inside our residence halls.
With the rise in COVID-19 transmission rates locally and nationally due to the highly contagious Omicron variant, I wanted to make you aware of our procedures for students, faculty, and staff should you experience COVID-19 symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, or come into close contact with someone with COVID-19.
Please review these guidelines and follow the procedures as outlined should your circumstances warrant.
If you have any questions about these guidelines or about Creighton’s COVID-19 response, please email CoronavirusResponse@creighton.edu. With the rapidly changing nature of the virus, we will continue to be flexible in our response. Please check our COVID-19 website regularly for updates.
This has been a particularly stressful time for our health care workers, and our health sciences students, faculty, and staff working in clinical care settings. I want to recognize you and thank you for your compassion and diligence in serving our community during these difficult days. You have our enduring gratitude.
I am proud of the many ways our campus has pulled together during the pandemic. Let us continue to be a community that is supportive, caring, and responsive to others.
We have one more vaccine clinic planned for this Friday, Jan. 21. If you are eligible for a COVID-19 booster, I encourage you to register today for an appointment. As a reminder, proof of vaccinations should be uploaded to the Birdhouse.
Sincerely,
Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD
