Welcome to Obstetrics and Gynecology! I am the Clerkship Director of your OB/Gyn rotation, your “Mom” during your Ob/Gyn experience. My job is to make sure you learn as much as you can about women’s health. After all, half of your patients and your family are women!

Obstetrics and Gynecology has something for everyone: the thrill and drama of the emergency room with childbirth, the mental challenge of handling complex medical cases; the emotional draw of psychiatry; the ability to work with your hands in intricate surgical procedures; the ability to follow women through decades of their lives with primary care.

This rotation is not for wimps. For some of you, this will rock your world. You will laugh and cry, and never stop wondering about the amazement of bringing a child into the world, or how your mother manages all she does. You will need to work very hard to understand it all, but trust me. It will be worth it. 

Our team of instructors are amazing. Dr. Farias-Eisner, our fearless department chairman, is one of the leading genetic gynecologic oncologists in the world. Our faculty and residents receive teaching awards every year. Tammi Bray, your fearless clerkship coordinator, is a pro when it comes to managing schedules and ensuring your success. We have got you covered!

So, get ready for the time of your life. This will be a rotation you will never forget.
