Gridley Named Assistant Dean of Research School of Medicine Phoenix Campus

Dan Gridley, MD, has been named assistant dean of research for the School of Medicine Phoenix campus. In this new role, Dr. Gridley will work with our faculty and students to coordinate research activities for the Phoenix campus and our major health system partners at Valleywise Health and Dignity Health, as well as other participating hospitals and clinics.

Dr. Gridley is the academic chair for Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix and has chaired the research subcommittee in Phoenix for the past three years. He graduated with honors in biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997 and earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2001.  

 Dr. Gridley has been a board-certified radiologist since 2006, after completing his radiology residency at Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix and fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He has been instrumental in enterprise technology selection and optimization of archiving and communication systems, radiology information systems and electronic medical record development. He serves on multiple hospital and national committees.
