Bridget M. Keegan, PhD, is dean of the Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences and professor of English. Keegan, a scholar of 18th- and 19th-century British literature, earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard and her doctorate from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Prior to her appointment as interim dean in February 2013 and her appointment as dean in April 2015, Keegan held numerous leadership positions within the college: associate dean from 2007 to 2009, chair of the English department from 2001 to 2005, and acting chair for the Department of Modern Languages from 2009 to 2010. She directed the University’s post-graduate scholarship and fellowship program, as well as the world literature program. She was also instrumental in the installation of Creighton’s Phi Beta Kappa national academic honor society.
