Matt Gerard, MEd, serves as the vice president for University Relations with oversight of the fundraising and alumni relations departments. Gerard began his career with Creighton in 2004 working for the annual fund for the School of Medicine. He went on to hold leadership positions with the University’s comprehensive Willing to Lead campaign and the Heider College of Business’ Ignite the Greatness campaign. From 2015 to 2016 he worked as the vice president of Development at Children International in Kansas City, before returning to the University in 2017.
Prior to first joining Creighton, Gerard worked in University Relations at Western Michigan University, in addition to serving as the head cross country and assistant track and field coach.
He is originally from Omaha, and received his MEd in secondary education from the University of Oregon and bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Iowa.
