Today, Archbishop George Lucas released a video and report to the Catholic community in Omaha regarding claims of clergy sexual abuse or sexual misconduct with minors in the Archdiocese. If you have not seen it, please click here to view the information.
Creighton University is not listed in the report. However, there is a reference to two Jesuits who once served in the Archdiocese of Omaha and were accused of improper behavior. One of those Jesuits, Fr. Perry Robinson, worked part-time for less than one year as a chaplain in a CUMC skilled nursing unit in the early-to-mid ‘90s. Otherwise, he had no other duties at Creighton University, and the accusations do not relate to his work at CUMC.
As we move through this process of disclosure, let us heighten our prayers for those who have been hurt or abused in any way.
Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ
