May 16, 2018: EVP Candidates
I am pleased to share that we have narrowed the search for our Executive Vice President to three highly qualified individuals, and I would like to invite you to meet the candidates next week during campus forums. As a reminder, the EVP will assume Dan Burkey’s responsibilities when Dan retires this summer.
The candidates’ names, forum times, and locations are provided below. I highly encourage you to read more detailed information regarding each individual’s background and credentials on the EVP search web page, which can be found here. You may log in using your Creighton credentials to read their résumés.
Patrick Koley; Tuesday, May 22, at 3 p.m. in Skutt 105
Jan Madsen; Thursday, May 24, at 3 p.m. in Harper 3023
Lori Pinkerton; Friday, May 25, at 9 a.m. in Harper 3023
The search committee, led by Vice Provost for Student Life Tanya Winegard, PhD, has done an excellent job reviewing the large pool of candidates and making recommendations for this very important role in Creighton leadership. I hope you can make time to attend each of the campus forums next week.
I would also like to share the news that Vice President of Finance John Nisbet has accepted a position at Saint Leo University in Tampa, Florida. He has been named Vice President of Business Affairs and Chief Financial Officer and will be leaving Creighton on May 31.
Recently, John has been exploring the opportunity due to the expanded responsibilities associated with this role at Saint Leo. The proximity to family and friends also made the offer particularly appealing.
John has done excellent work while at Creighton, and I wish him and his family all the best.
