Presidential message

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 28, the Campus Climate Forum will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ryan Athletic Center’s D.J. Sokol Arena.

“Seeking Hope: Intentional and Ignatian Responses to the Global Climate Crisis” will explore how we all might most effectively respond to our planet’s climate crisis.

Faculty experts and students have agreed to be panelists, and I would like to express gratitude for their admirable engagement. My thanks to Andy Gustafson, PhD; Stacey Menzel Baker, PhD; Andrew Baruth, PhD; Kristie Briggs, PhD; Lee Budesheim, PhD; Dan DiLeo, PhD; Josh Fershée, JD; Anne Ozar, PhD; the Rev. Nicholas Santos, SJ, PhD; and Melissa Woodley, PhD.

I am grateful that student perspective will be provided by Hugh Truempi, a senior studying economics in the Heider College of Business and the president of Green Jays, and Adam Wilson, a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences who is co-president of the Environmental Science Club.

This is an opportunity for us all to come together for a Creighton community-only event and discuss our collective and personal roles in saving our planet. I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD
