Pre-Health Sciences (Undergraduate Certificate)
If you already have an undergraduate degree and plan to apply to a health professions program—medicine, dentistry, occupational or physical therapy, physician’s assistant, pharmacy, emergency medical services, nursing or veterinary school—the Certificate in pre-health sciences from Creighton University will help you achieve your goals.
With an Undergraduate Certificate in pre-health sciences, you can complete universal minimum course requirements and learn from Creighton faculty in pre-health disciplines, including pre-med/pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy and more. You’ll receive a pre-health studies certificate awarded by Creighton University, an institution with a reputation for health sciences education.
Program Details
The pre-health studies certificate, awarded upon the completion of 24 credits, will provide a deeper understanding of areas that are central to many health professions programs. The areas of study include:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Organic Chemistry
- Physics
Admissions Requirements
Creighton admissions are based upon:
- High school GPA
- ACT or SAT scores*
- Extracurricular activities
- Personal statement to demonstrate creative abilities not reflected in your transcripts
- Recommendation from high school counselor
- Honors sections and advanced placement courses will enhance a candidate’s application
*For students who are choosing to apply test-optional, ACT/SAT exam scores are not required at the time of application for admission.
