Study Finds Probiotic Therapy Reduces Risk of VAP in High-Risk Population

Researchers from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE, have found that probiotic prophylaxis with Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG reduces the occurrence of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) in patients in the intensive care unit.
