Creighton University is the official host university for the College World Series. In that role, Creighton encourages participation in the event and its Athletics Department provides volunteers as requested, assists with ticketing and sales of general admission tickets, with sports information, with athletic training and medical assistance, and with overall administration and logistics of the tournament. The University also makes its practice field available for teams if needed.
Given the proximity of the tournament to campus, the University is also making some of its parking lots available for paid visitor parking, primarily between Burt and Cuming Streets, from 19th to 26th streets. (See map at http://www.creighton.edu/fileadmin/user/college-world-series/CWS-Small.pdf)
To encourage Creighton alumni and friends to visit Billy Blues Alumni Grill in the Harper Center on campus at 602 N. 20th St., special hours will be instituted, and a Fatherís Day Brunch is planned for Sunday, June 19 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Price is adults, $19.99; children 4-12, $9.99; and children under 4 free. The event will feature family fun including balloon creations, face painting and other games. Reservations are accepted by calling 402.280.1179.
St. Johnís Church on campus will be offering Masses on the weekends of the tournament.
