The annual Forbes college rankings are out and Creighton University has made the list of the 650 best undergraduate institutions that focus on quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation levels and low levels of debt. The University was ranked overall at 171st. Creighton also ranked 34th in the Midwest and 148th in private colleges. The rankings are prepared by the Center for College Affordability and Productivity.
“Creighton prides itself on the quality and commitment of our faculty to our students,” said Patrick Borchers, vice president for Academic Affairs. “And with more than 90 percent of our graduates being employed, going on to professional schools or volunteering nine months after graduation, close to 30 percent higher than the national average, we also know we are achieving our educational outcomes,” he added.
The rankings are based on five general categories—post-graduate success, alumni pay and prominence; student satisfaction, faculty evaluation and freshman to sophomore year retention rates; four-year graduation rates; and competitive awards, achieving prestigious scholarships and fellowships.
