Rodgers Named Creighton Director of Community/Government Relations

Christopher T. Rodgers has been named Director of Community/Government Relations at Creighton University effective August 1.

Rodgers, who has more than 14 years of experience in civic and governmental leadership positions and community service and outreach, most recently served as a senior community service associate for the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is a member of the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and president of the National Association of Counties (NACo). He has also served as an assistant to the mayor of the City of Omaha and as Director of Community Outreach for United Way of the Midlands.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for the collaboration and engagement of Creighton University with community partners and government officials.

Rodgers received his bachelorís degree in journalism in 1992 and an M.B.A. in 1999 from Creighton. He also received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2002.
