The Creighton University Board of Trustees elected Stephen N. Katsouros, S.J., Ed.D., to the Board on June 4, 2012. Fr. Katsouros is the director of the Institute for Catholic Education Leadership at the University of San Francisco and serves on the university’s leadership cabinet. He has an extensive background in private and Jesuit education, teaching on the middle, high school and college level and serving in various administrative positions including recently as president of New York’s Loyola School for nine years.
Fr. Katsouros has held various leadership positions and served on several boards, including as president of the Guild of Independent Schools of New York City.
He earned his master’s degree in administration at Harvard University in 1998 and his doctorate of education from Teachers College at Columbia University in 2011. He holds master’s degrees in education, divinity and reading education. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1987 and was ordained a Jesuit priest in 1998.
