Creighton University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology and Health Sciences Continuing Education will sponsor the fourth annual cardiovascular symposium beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, in the Mike and Josie Harper Center.
The symposium will provide practitioners with clinically relevant information and state-of-the-art treatment options on cardiovascular diseases. Topic presentations will address practice gaps and integrate evidence-based information.
Session topics include: statins revisited, sudden cardiac death and cardiovascular emergencies. The symposium is directed by Dennis J. Esterbrooks, M.D., F.A.C.C., along with moderators Michael G. Del Core, M.D., F.A.C.C., Claire B. Hunter, M.D., F.A.C.C., and Aryan N. Mooss, M.D., F.A.C.C., and many other Creighton University faculty members.
Continuing education credits are available for health care professionals who attend these sessions.
The cost of the symposium includes breakfast, lunch and breaks and is:
$95 for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists;
$65 for nurses, EMS personnel, public health professionals, and other healthcare providers; and
$40 for fellows, residents, and students.
