Power outage affecting several buildings on campus

Update: 4:30 p.m.

Power has been restored to all buildings impacted by the outage.

Update: 12:05 p.m.
While the University has restored power to some of the buildings impacted by the power outage, OPPD is continuing to investigate the issue. The following buildings now have power: Davis Square, Opus Hall, the Championship Center, Rasmussen and Ryan Center as well as Morrison Stadium.
OPPD and Facilities Management hope to restore power to the remaining buildings as soon as a solution can be determined. These buildings are still without power at this time: Harper Center, Law School, Lied Center, Brandeis, Deglman Hall, Swanson Hall, McGloin Hall, Kitty Gaughan Pavillion, Kiewit Fitness Center and the Skutt Student Center as well as the 20th and 24th St. garages.

UPDATE, 10:25 a.m.: At 10 a.m., OPPD discovered a tripped breaker and is now looking for a fault in the cable. Power could remain out for several hours to parts of campus.

Shortly after 9 a.m. on Monday, May 23, a power outage occurred on the Creighton University campus, affecting several buildings.

The buildings affected are:

  • Rasmussen Center
  • Morrison Stadium
  • Champions Center
  • Ryan Center
  • Davis Square
  • Harper Center
  • McGloin Hall
  • Lied Education Center for the Arts
  • Opus Hall
  • Creighton Law School
  • Kitty Gaughan Pavilion
  • 24th Street parking garage
  • Deglman Hall
  • Brandeis Hall
  • Swanson Hall
  • Kiewit Fitness Center
  • Skutt Student Center

Crews from Creighton and OPPD are investigating the cause of the outage and working to restore power.
