HOW TO ADD, DROP, OR WITHDRAW FROM COURSES

ADD/DROP

Deadlines

  • After registering for a term, you may change your schedule on NEST through the Add/Drop deadline
  • See your Academic Calendar for Add/Drop deadlines for your program and term.

Need a reminder of your PIN? 

  • NEST>Student Services>Registration>Forgot Registration PIN?
  • You must have registered for at least one class for the upcoming term to get a PIN reminder.
  • If you lost your PIN and have not registered for at least one class, contact your advisor.

Undergraduates: Follow the Instructions below. (Students in other Colleges must contact their Dean's Office for help with Add/Drop.)

ADDING COURSES AFTER ADD/DROP DEADLINES

Send an email as follows based on the college you are enrolled in. Your email must include

  • Your Name, NET ID, College (e.g., College of Arts and Sciences, Heider College of Business, College of Nursing) and class (e.g., FR, SO, JR, SR).
  • Your specific request.
  • The CRN, Subject, Course Number and Section of the course.

What happens next:

1. Instructor replies-all with response.

2. Advisor emails approval to Arts & Sciences Dean's Office.

3. Dean's Office emails approval to Registrar@creighton.edu.

3. Registrar's Office processes request.

2. Dean's Office emails approval to Registrar@creighton.edu.

WITHDRAWING FROM INDIVIDUAL COURSES

When you withdraw from a course, you receive a grade of "W" for that course. See the Creighton catalog for details.

Withdrawal deadlines depend on the start date and length of the course you are taking. See the academic calendar for your school for details or contact the Registrar's Office.

Undergraduate Withdrawal Instructions

Send an email that includes: 

  • Your Name, NET ID, College (e.g., College of Arts and Sciences, Heider College of Business, College of Nursing) and class (e.g., FR, SO, JR, SR).
  • Your specific request.
  • The CRN, Subject, Course Number and Section of the course.

NOTE: students in other Colleges must contact their Dean's Office for assistance with Individual Course Withdrawal.

  • Undergraduate Students: contact Mary Ann Tietjen, Director of Retention, or your Dean's Office.
  • Graduate, Medical, Dental, Pharmacy and Health Professions, and Law Students:  contact your Dean's Office.
