The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation awards $30,000 merit-based scholarships to college students who wish to attend graduate school in preparation for careers in government or elsewhere in public service.
All Candidates for the Truman must be nominated by their undergraduate institution. If you are interested in this opportunity you need to contact Creighton’s faculty representative and begin the process. The Truman Application consists of an Institutional Nomination form and letter. The nominee provides three additional letters of recommendation, a recent transcript, a 15 question application and a policy proposal.

The Foundation also provides assistance with career counseling, internship placement, graduate school admissions, and professional development. Scholars are invited to participate in a number of programs: Truman Scholar Leadership Week, The Summer Institute, The Truman Fellows Program, and the Public Service Law Conference.
