Pre-Health Advising
Pre-Health Advising
Student Success offers pre-health students one-on-one advising to assist in navigating their undergraduate curriculum, build their application profile and direct them to application and testing resources available to them both online and on campus. Dr. Charles Austerberry directs the pre-health advising with many faculty and staff ready to help students on their path to professional school.
Advising Topics
Talk to a pre-health advisor about
- Prerequisite courses for professional health science programs
- Co-curricular requirements
- Shadowing or exploration activities options
- Navigating the professional school application process
- Writing a personal statement for professional school
- Choosing which professional schools to apply
Before meeting with a pre-health advisor, walk through the Pre-Health Course Planning and Registration Module in the Pre-Health Information Community first. This module addresses many commonly asked pre-health questions.
