The Office of Sustainability Programs collaborates with groups in Omaha to raise awareness about issues of sustainability. We convene and host events such as the ones below. If you are interested in hosting a sustainability-related event at Creighton, please contact sustainability@creighton.edu

National Drive Electric Week Event

National Drive Electric Week Event

On Sunday, September 9, Creighton University provided the site for the 2018 National Drive Electric Week event in Omaha. In addition to an extensive display of electric vehicles including electric assisted bicycles, there were indoor educational presentations and information tables by local organizations and dealers promoting clean, sustainable modes of transportation.

National Drive Electric Week is presented by Plug in America, Sierra Club, and Electric Auto Association. Nissan LEAF is the Exclusive Automotive Sponsor.

Community Recycling

Community Recycling

During the summer of 2018, Creighton worked with the Omaha Area Higher Education Alliance, Green Omaha Coalition, and Verdis Group to convene a group of community stakeholders to discuss changes to City recycling. Creighton hosted the meeting at The Highlander.
