While the task of switching your course content online can seem daunting, the good news is that there are a number of resources available to you.

  • Faculty Guides - provide information and support resources for Creighton's academic technologies. Support resources include: Accessibility, BlueCast (Panopto), BlueLine (Canvas), BlueQ (Qualtrics), Canon Graders Services, Multimedia Services, Secure Exams and Online Proctoring, and Zoom.

  • Instructional Design Team - The Instructional Design team collaborates with faculty and assists with online, distance, blended/hybrid, and technology enhanced courses. The Instructional Design team primarily helps support BlueLine (Canvas), BlueCast (Panopto), and Zoom. Additionally, the team provides faculty with innovative teaching methods and provides reflective integration of technology into coursework.

  • BlueLine Course Set Up Guide offers faculty a framework and list of actionable items to build a course in BlueLine.  Sections within the guide include:
    • Welcome Module: Welcome from Instructor/Instructor Bio, Course Introduction, Introduction to BlueLine/BlueLine 101, Course Textbook and Resources, Grading and Course Policies, Syllabus
    • Content Modules: Module Overview Page, Assignments, Discussions, Quizzes, and Files

  • Online Teaching-Focused Faculty Development 

  • Quality Assurance for Distance Education:  Quality assurance for distance programming at Creighton University is a multi-faceted process involving faculty, staff, students, administrators, and external stakeholders.  Data is gathered from a variety of sources for the purpose of assuring Creighton University's reputation for high quality, values-based education is reflected in its distance education programming.  Additionally, the process is structured to help assure alignment with Federal and accreditation regulations including those promulgated by the Higher Learning Commission.  Learn more about Quality Assurance processes. 

  • An Online Course Development Checklist for courses not already part of an online/distance program is available to assist faculty in developing their course(s). Individual distance education courses undergo a review process to assure alignment with best practices. Please link to  access the checklist.

  • Respondus Lockdown Browser is the University's solution to deliver BlueLine quizzes in a secure environment. Additionally, Creighton has enabled the Respondus Monitor add-on for Lockdown Browser which provides automated proctoring. This service uses the student's webcam to provide additional security to a student's online Quiz/Exam in BlueLine (Canvas).   • Canvas 24/7 Support - Canvas support is available 24/7 for faculty, staff, and students. This support is available by phone (833.278.2010) or via online chat

  • MyIT Service Desks - Please visit the myIT website for contact information. 

  • TLC Digital Learning and Academic Technology Introduction Course - a self-enrolled, self-paced BlueLine course that encompasses foundational knowledge and skills necessary for successfully teaching in a digital learning environment regardless of program or delivery method (face-to-face, hybrid or fully online). The course may take approximately 8-10 hours to complete, and those that complete it will receive a certificate at the end. 

  • Working Remotely - The Division of IT offers a variety of services and resources to connect you with colleagues and students remotely so that work and learning can continue uninterrupted.

  • Library Services Update - COVID-19 - This Guide is designed to provide you with additional information on the libraries' operations and services during this time. This guide will be updated frequently.
