DEPARTMENTAL OBJECTIVES FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
The Theology Department is please to present its objectives for undergraduate student achievement. All Theology majors will:
a) Communicate clearly and effectively in theological research papers and oral presentations
b) Think critically about information, historical/intellectual contexts, and arguments regarding theological issues
c) Integrate broad and diverse learning within Theology
d) Appreciate the Christian, Catholic, and Jesuit traditions in the context of historical, cultural, and spiritual concerns
e) Apply a reasoned approach to effective decision-making according to sound and coherent ethical principles.
Individuals interested in the many graduate Theology programs at Creighton are encouraged to consider applying to one of three scholarships: The Richard J. Hauser, SJ Scholarship; the Bishop John R. Sheets Scholarship; and the Ministry Tuition Remission Scholarship. For more information, please consult the graduate school information page.
NEW OPPORTUNITY: A 5-Year B.A./M.A. Program
The Theology Department is proud to announce a new program in which students may earn a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Theology in five years. The program also allows participants to be certified as instructors of religious education in the state of Nebraska.
