Conference and Event Services

Creighton welcomes small businesses, nonprofit organizations, government groups, educational associations and other groups to hold their events on our campus.

Facilities available for rental:

• Mutual of Omaha Ballroom
• Ahmanson Ballroom
• Hixson-Lied Auditorium
• Numerous meeting rooms for break-out sessions

Event reservations include basic AV equipment and support, as well as custom room arrangement options, setup and tear-down.

Catering is available exclusively through Sodexo’s Creighton Dining services.

Additional event hours before and/or after normal building hours can be coordinated and negotiated with our staff. Building hours vary between spaces and in accordance with academic and holiday schedules.

Limited on-campus housing may be available during non-academic sessions.

With two grand ballrooms (the Mutual of Omaha Ballroom and Ahmanson Ballroom), the beautiful Skinner Mall, St. Johns Church, mall fountain and picturesque Jesuit Gardens, Creighton University is a popular destination for stylish and sophisticated wedding receptions and social gatherings.

Sodexo Catering (University Dining) is the exclusive caterer at Creighton University. All food and/or beverages for meetings, events, etc. in spaces across campus must be purchased through Sodexo Catering.

Creighton offers conferences and camps, along with housing, on an as-available basis to campus guests during the summer months. Space is limited and is reserved first for Creighton University groups.

Summer Housing

All our buildings feature air-conditioned rooms, wireless internet, a security desk, free laundry facilities, double room occupancy, modern lounges on each floor and vending machines. Linen service can be included in your housing stay for an additional fee.

Guest fitness center access and guest parking passes may be added into your stay for an additional fee and should be indicated on your Request to Stay Form.

• Housing available for Creighton students* and individual stays (students in Omaha for internships): May 24
  • Application opens April 8 and closes April 22  

Additionally, access to dining and recreation facilities, as well as parking services, can be included in summer housing.

Dining Services

Creighton Dining provides a number of options for on-campus meals during the summer.

The Creighton University Retreat Center is a full-service retreat facility set on 150+ acres of wooded area, in Griswold, Iowa—about 45 minutes east of Creighton’s main campus in Omaha. We offer a variety of retreats for groups, as well as guided multi-day retreats for individuals.

The Retreat Center welcomes Creighton students, alumni and faculty/staff, and all others seeking a place of rest or retreat, including religious, parishes, school groups, organizations and private individuals.

We offer four private efficiency apartments for retreatants that include an open kitchen, dining space, living room area, separate sleeping area and private bathrooms.

Creighton offers comfortable, convenient summer housing for non-Creighton students completing internships in Omaha, on an as-available basis.  

It’s a great option for interns who may be temporarily joining local organizations to gain experience over the summer. Many students travel to Omaha for professional opportunities, and we’re happy to offer a home away from home so these students can make the most of their summer experience. 

Our campus is conveniently located in downtown Omaha within walking distance of the Joslyn Museum, Old Market, CHI Arena and Charles Schwab Field, home of the College World Series. Plus regional and local bus routes are close by.

Leasing and Eligibility

Individual or groups participating in an internship in the Omaha area will need to submit a letter of confirmation from the company/program. 

• Group bookings available
• Individual, flexible leases up to 10 weeks
• 30-night minimum stay required
• Summer housing applications open at the end of January.
• Housing available May 24 – August 2
