Purpose of JayWalk
To strengthen the relationship between the Omaha's Jesuit Institutions of Learning and the community while fulfilling the continuing financial needs of Jesuit Middle School.
Who Benefits?
JayWalk is sponsored by the Creighton University Students Union in cooperation with Creighton University and Creighton Preparatory High School Student Council, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Jesuit Middle School of Omaha.
About the Race
The 5K run/walk will begin on Saturday, September 20th at Deglman Circle, which is right off 24th Street, between Burt and Cass Streets. Registration for both runners and walkers will be held at Deglman Circle as well, beginning at 7:00 am and end at 8:15am. Immediately following registration, at 8:30am, we will begin the running race with walkers starting 15 minutes later at 8:45 am. Upon completion of the race, there will be a pancake breakfast including prizes and the check presentation to the Jesuit Middle School. Top finishers will also receive awards for their efforts. Participants of the JayWalk race will receive a complimentary JayWalk T-shirt (guaranteed only if registered by September 12th) as well as free food, drink and other prizes from local businesses that will be raffled off. For those who would like to participate in the pancake feed, but do not wish to run there will be a $5.00 cash charge.
Parking that day will be available to participants in the event and will be located in the Creighton Lots at 24th & Burt Street and 24th and Cass Street.
