I am guessing that a “Shelfie Pin” shows books or other things on a shelf, but I am unsure. This very well executed pin includes these fable books: TH; “The Scorpion and the Turtle”; BW; and “Androcles and the Lion.” It came in a lovely folder showing “The Scorpion and the Turtle,” with a sticker proclaim as a “lesson from fables” “Scorpion Rides Thorny Paws.”

I noticed this pin as I was cataloguing the “Shelfie Pin” and wooden bookmarks from this dealer. Is there a kind of whimsy at work in creating a “terrarium pin”? Whatever it is, I like it, even if this is a sad fable! Again, the packaging is too good to miss: a travel ticket that gives evidence of betrayal!
